CESC started the Energy Makeover contest in 2004 in conjunction with
Xcel Energy. The six week application process brought in over 9000
registrants. The two winners each received over $25,000 in energy
efficiency upgrades and are now enjoying dramatically lower energy
usage.
In 2005 CESC worked with three different utilities across the Front
Range and Western Slope on Energy Makeover contests. Winners were
selected in each utility area to receive free home energy makeovers.
In 2006, CESC will be working with Xcel Energy and Colorado Springs
Utilities on Energy Makeover Contests. To qualify for the Energy
Makeover Contests, you need to be served by a participating utility.
